PORTFOLIO > French Country Kitchen

One of the tricks to saving money in a kitchen remodeling is to keep the appliances in the same locations. However, sometimes, it just makes sense to make some minor changes. In this kitchen, the microwave stayed in the same location, however, it was too low in the original kitchen. It is now at the correct height. The dishwasher was awkward placed to the right of the sink, so I moved it to the left and placed a pull out cabinet with a trash bin in between them. The long counter above the dishwasher is the perfect place for setting down the dirty dishes after clearing the table.

The pale gray tile has a linen like texture to it and replaces the cream and black subway tile that was originally on the back splash.
